HOWEVER, I did manage to bust out of the office for one weekend (actually, I worked Saturday and busted out on Sunday) to ski. It was such a blast and so nice to get outside for the day!
The day started at 6:30am when I woke up and headed down to Amy's. She was going to be working the next week in Beaver Creek, so we decided we should really take the opportunity to ski. This was the first time in 4 years I actually went skiing on my own initiative. The only other 3 times I skiied since moving here was because work was paying for it. (And I'm sad to report the crappy economy has forced Ernst & Young to cancel this year's annual ski day.) But anyway... Amy and I loaded up her car, feeling pretty good about ourselves, and drove up to Copper Mountain.
We had a blast on the drive up -- eating donut holes, drinking coffee, and listening to Bon Jovi's greatest hits. But the fun ended when we arrived and realized we needed to put all of our gear on. This leads me to the two main reasons I never go skiing:
(1) I hate getting up early on weekends
(2) I hate all the gear. It's bulky, it's comfortable, and it's really just a huge pain in the ass.
Amidst all of our complaining, we got ourselves dressed, on the shuttle bus, and up to the mountain. We were met by our friends Terra and Rob. Rob also brought his co-worker Ron Jon. Yes, like the surf shop.
Here's one I took of us on the ski lift. I had my zoom all the way in by accident. We laughed so hard when we saw the picture.

You know, you could post on work happenings...2 months is way too long of a drought. I'll gladly read about Excel spreadsheets in a pinch.
I'm glad you got out for a much needed break and while the skiing itself does seem like a lot of work - the drive sounded awesome. Any road trip with Bon Jovi's greatest hits is bound to be awesome. We might have to subject James & Jameson to that when we come visit in May.
Don't know what ya'll looked like after skiing, but you and Amy sure looked cute in your skiing gear! I even really like the super-close-up shot.
What's this about Miami in 2012?
